Short description: A poor shoemaker who was kind to people in the
village couldn’t earn enough money to make shoes even though he worked hard
every day. At last he had nothing left but leather for one pair of shoes, then
he cut out the leathers and wished to begin to make tomorrow. In the morning, there stood the
shoes already made, upon the table. He and his wife found that these shoes were
made by elves. When it is close to Christmas, he and his wife decided to give a
gift in return, after that they lived a very happy life as did the elves.
This is a nice summary of the short story, Lily.
